Welcome to Moment of Truth! We are a relaxed play-by-post Warriors roleplay set in a post-apocalyptic world. We feature original Clans in a unique city setting for a refreshing take on the familiar Warriors universe. In the aftermath of a devastating plague, humans have been wiped out and only nature is left behind. GlassClan, former kittypets of the city, are now faced with AshClan, wild cats who have travelled far and now call the city their home. The Tribe, desiring only peace, take shelter in the sewers and subways underneath the city. Can you survive in this new world?
The activity check is now over!!! Accounts that didn't reply have been moved to the inactive member group, but feel free to message staff if you want to be moved back!! Two high ranks have opened, deputy and medicine cat in AshClan! Please consider applying! Gatherings won't occur until high ranks are filled!
It is now New-Leaf on MOT!
Hello everyone! We've got a new skin up, if you notice anything weird on the site please give us a heads up as we're still trying to tweak everything and may have missed something when moving to the new layout. We've put an activity check up that will be open for a week; please be sure to reply to this if you want to keep your characters! If you're unable to reply to the check or are having activity problems, please reach out to us. After the check and the old characters/bios/threads have been cleaned out, we will continue from there to grow our site even more.
Happy New Year, MOT!!! We have an activity check up so please check that out to keep your account and characters safe. Almost all high ranks are filled, with just the Head Hunter remaining, so definitely look into applying so we can move towards holding our first Gathering! We are super excited with the activity we had been building, and would love to keep that momentum going into the new semester!
It is now Leaf-Bare on MOT!
The activity check is over! We have an announcement up here where you can earn shop items that would otherwise need to be bought! We want to welcome all the new members that have joined in the last week or so, and encourage all members to look at the open high ranks to see if any position catches your eye! We are more than excited to roleplay with everyone!
We hope that everyone who celebrates it has had a great Thanksgiving! This weekend we have decided to do some cleaning around the site and to hopefully make things a little easier to understand in regards to information threads and high rank auditions. To do that, we are doing a small activity check that will only last a few days so that we can implement those changes. Please be sure to post there with what characters/wips you wanna keep!
We've been open for a little over a month now, and role playing is beginning to pick up! We're currently brainstorming ideas of IC events that could take place in the future, so if you've got any ideas feel free to toss them at us. High ranks are still open with no current end date, though we've been getting a few auditions, so get yours in! Available high ranks can be found here.
MOT is now open! Feel free to stop in and chat with us, poke around, and make yourself at home! Here is the list of all currently available high ranks.
i don't mind if it's me you need to turn to it's the heart that really matters in the end
Bubbleberry remembered distinctly the complaints AshClan cats had originally had about the city and GlassClan's home, and even to this day, she couldn't understand them. Their camp, for example. The comfort of the sturdy walls, the warmth and security it provided, and the beauty of the light that shone through the colored glass during certain times of the day. AshClan had been unsettled by the manmade structure, but Bubbleberry would forever prefer the sturdiness of human walls when compared to the unpredictable nature of the wild. She would have expected AshClan to have been more eager for change after their previous green home was destroyed by nature, but they had been quick to retreat to the comfort of the park after, the battle between the Clans. Ah, well. She supposed some things were just instinctual.
Lounging outside the church that GlassClan called home, Bubbleberry was content to simply rest outside in the sun and relax. In her younger moons, she would have been eager to get to work, to hunt, to patrol, but she had come to appreciate the little breaks she could snag in between tasks. Perhaps her age was getting to her. She chuckled at the thought. All this time, she had denied and scoffed at any concern towards her age, her mind still young and eager, but her body had certainly been feelings the effects of many moons in the city. Her pawpads were rough and calloused, and her limbs ached in the morning and after a long day. She would hold out for as long as she could, though. After all, she had to keep that child of hers, Chalkstar, in line.
Besides, it wasn't like she wasn't completely not working. Resting near the entrance to the church let her easily chat with her fellows, commending good kills and wishing luck to apprentices leaving to train. An easy way to keep up with her Clanmates, especially those who hung around a moment to chat with the old warrior. An easy way to slow some of them down, to see what thoughts were in there mind, and to help soothe any worries or negativities that may come to light. Or, in the case of some of the younger cats of the Clan, a chance to stay in touch with the energy and excitement of youth.
When I look into your eyes.I see a love restrained.
The thing with the changing of seasons was that no matter how much the mottled tom prepared for the earth’s un-thawing after long frigid nights, he was never quite ready to welcome it. Somehow the feeling of leaf-bare lingered even after the last of the snow had melted.
Thus there he lay: Underneath the church pews, drawing warmth from his nestle of thick blankets. Blurrily, unwillingly, the feline then proceeded to rise and in his groggy state, thud his head against the underside of the bench for what seemed like the millionth time that it no longer fazed him.
Swallowing a thick yawn, Agate-eyes surveyed the dishevelled state of his pelt. Had he washed it yesterday? The scruffy tom couldn’t quite remember, he brought his hind-leg up to scratch behind his ear. Ah! Sableswan had offered to share tongues but forgotten about it later on in the day. That made sense, seeing that pesky twigs were still snagged on his pelt from the previous patrol; Taking up the evening posts didn’t help either, because of it Agate-eyes had been sleeping late recently and would constantly forget to eat as well.
As Agate descended down the stairs to the outside of the building. The sight of his previous mentor brought on a rush of embarrassment at his lack of grooming. Hesitating, the short-hair didn’t want to bother her nor cause a fuss, he concluded that a short chat would do.
“Morning Bubbleberry,” Agate-eyes made himself known as he snuck from behind her. He hid the sleep from his voice and instinctively perked up a bit in the fluffy cat’s presence. “I’m not invading your sunning spot am I?” With tone hopeful, the tom wavered for a heartbeat before carefully crossing his paws down; Leaving a short distance between them. His tail curled as the sunlight warmed his exposed flank and the crisp breeze ruffled his whiskers. It was nice to unwind for a bit even though he hadn’t planned to.
Time spent with Bubbleberry always felt right even when it wasn’t time spent doing anything particularly productive.
After the brief lull, Agate spoke up again, turning his head to face the chirpy she. “This weather reminds me of you,” he jested.“-You never know when it might turn stormy,” Flicking his ear, the tom then launched into a story about the time he nearly barrelled into a thorn bush in an attempt to retrieve one of the kit’s moss balls. He didn’t mind sharing his mishaps to Bubbleberry if it made her laugh.
